Attendance: You have to attend
class. We only meet once a week, so two absences count a lot. If you miss three
classes, you will be dropped, so save your absences for emergencies.
Grading: You will be graded on the following
assignments: 15% Class participation and assignments Late Assignments: All assignments are due in class. Late assignments will be penalized one letter grade for each day late and will only be accepted in extraordinary situations, generally with prior approval. Student Code of Conduct Violations: The University of Arizona’s Code of Conduct proscribes behaviors that disrupt classes or class-related work. In this class, such behaviors include misusing email addresses or the class listserve, for example by harassing students via email or by using the class listserve for abusive or inappropriate language. The Code of Conduct also forbids presenting others’ work as if it were your own, for example by quoting from other writings without appropriately citing the source, or by turning in papers that you did not write. If you have questions, talk to me before you turn in the work. I have a great deal of experience with the Code of Conduct, and I will strictly enforce the penalties that it imposes. |
